Pastoral Care
Providing spiritual guidance, comfort, and support through our pastors and church elders.
One of our most important ministries in the Church, Pastoral Care is an opportunity to interact with our leaders and elders for guidance and opportunities to learn, grow in your faith, and ask for guidance or comfort during difficult times.
Our pastors are the leaders of the church (Rom. 12: 8, 1 Tim. 5:17), having been called to this role by the Lord Jesus Christ. In Scripture, the words “pastor” means “shepherd”. Pastors care for God’s people, as shepherds care for sheep.
The main task of our pastors is to guide those who believe in the gospel by teaching them the Word. By preaching all that He commanded, our pastors shall make each of us into His disciples.
Currently, there are seven active elders in the local House of God Ministry (Portland and Vancouver) who offer spiritual care for church members and other people who are seeking help. If you need pastoral guidance, you can contact us using the phone numbers given on this website.
“Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.”
— 1 Pet. 5: 1–5, NKJV
